Responsible gaming at Betviva Kenya

Gambling is entertainment. It becomes harmful when it affects your finances, relationships, or mental health. Betviva Kenya provides deposit limits, session controls, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion — all accessible from your account at any time. If you need help now, call the free national helpline.

Self-assessment — warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling develops gradually. The following signs are used by Kenya's National Problem Gambling Council and GamCare as early-warning indicators. If three or more apply to you in the past 30 days, contacting the helpline is recommended.

Betting more than you planned and finding it hard to stop mid-session

Chasing losses by placing larger bets to recover money already lost

Gambling with money set aside for rent, food, transport, or school fees

Lying to family or friends about how much time or money you spend betting

Feeling restless or irritable when trying to cut down on gambling

Using gambling as a way to escape stress, anxiety, or problems at work

Account controls available to all players

All tools below are available to any verified Betviva Kenya account holder at any time. Contact support via live chat or email support@betviva.co.ke to activate. Requests are processed within 24 hours and cannot be reversed during the active period.

Kenya regulatory framework — Gambling Control Act 2025

The Gambling Control Act, 2025 (Act No. 14 of 2025) was signed into law on 7 August 2025 and took effect on 20 August 2025. It mandates that all licensed operators implement self-exclusion mechanisms, maintain a centralised exclusion register, refrain from extending credit to players, and run structured responsible gambling education programmes. The BCLB's "Chukua Control" campaign, launched in May 2025, introduced mandatory warning labels on all gambling advertising, explicit prohibition of minors in marketing, and a dedicated industry compliance hotline. Operators that fail responsible gambling obligations face licence suspension or revocation under the new Act.
